A fund raising effort that everyone can take part in - our Parish Bookstall and the Amazon Shop:
HOW DOES OUR AMAZON SHOP WORK?
i. The Parish will earn commission of at least 5% from every purchase, when you follow any link from our website to Amazon.co.uk, make a purchase, and the item is dispatched. These links can be to individual products, pages of search results, the Amazon.co.uk home page, or any other page at Amazon.co.uk.
ii. This will not cost you anything at all. The price you pay will be the same regardless of how you get to Amazon’s website.
iii. Amazon is probably the most reliable and efficient shop on the internet. Please do use our Amazon Shop to purchase religious books and gifts, but also to purchase anything else Amazon sells and so raising money for the Parish. Books, CDs, DVDs, Playstation Games, cameras, batteries, you name it, Amazon sells it, and if you’re going to buy it anyway, do it through the parish website. It’s the easiest fundraiser we’ve had and everyone who uses the internet can help.
iv. You might also like to send the link to all those family members near and far, who might be likely to shop at Amazon, and remember the teenagers in the family, they can help the Church while they buy their DVDs!
v. To make it easy for you to remember to use the Amazon page, please consider adding the site address to your desktop
a) To do this, if you use Internet Explorer as your browser, you need to open the site to the Amazon page, http://www.stpaulsandstmarys.co.uk/shopshop.php?index=6 then click on your Favourites
b) Click on ‘Add to Favourites’, and then ‘Add’ (This gives you a link from your Favourites to our Amazon shop.)
c) If you then click on ‘Organise your Favourites’, scroll down to the link for our Amazon page, then right click, select Rename, and rename it Amazon. (This makes the link easier to recognise)
d) If you wish, you can then, right click on this link, click on Send To, then select Desktop. (This will give you a direct link from your desktop to Amazon through the St Pauls & St Marys website!) Chris says he can do it, so although it sounds complex it really is easy!
Many thanks, every little bit helps and together we can reduce the debt!
